I did a search for polyurethane engine mounts and didn't come up with anything. do we have any options or are we stuck changing our engine mounts every 4500 miles
Interesting concept, but I would bet the poly mounts would transmit even more vibration to the frame. We may be stuck....
It probably would compared to a new rubber mount, but that would be OK as long as it holds up, I doubt the vibes would be worse then they are with the engine setting metal to metal with the saggy old rubber isolator

What are you doing to your bike that you think you need to replace the mounts every 4500 miles? I've got 8200 on mine and they're still as good as the first day I rode it.
23000 on mine still good to go... keep em clean especially after oil change... i clean the oil off with brake cleaner, then give it a nice bath after oil changes...
thanks for posting that old discussion...just chiming in so i can go back to it in my account...don't know how to post/bookmark this w/o my repling into it.
If you're replacing the mounts then there is a problem with the mounts you're buying. I'm certain there was a thread discussing the front isolator. Some of them were made wrong, and transmitted a ton of vibes through the chassis. I'll see if I can find it.
