Ok as most of you already know a few weeks ago I had a little mishap with my slipons, (they slipped off). Thanks to many on this site I now have a new set of Rush slipons and NEW CLAMPS!!! Well the old ones were 2" and the new are 1.75. I installed them yesterday and noticed a little popping when I pull in the clutch and on decel. My old 2" baffles never did this so I decided to check the plugs and see what they looked like and just as I suspected they were white, not just a little white but the L arm that covers the center was as white as white could be.
My first question is if I take it in to get checked out will they tell me it is caused by the pipes?
My second question is should I just buy a set of plugs and see what they do? (oh yah can I get the correct plug at Autozone)

Reason: added pics
White plugs indicate a "too lean" condition, caused by too little fuel and/or too much air.
Running the engine without mufflers could cause that condition (when your slip-ons slipped off), but you'd probably have to ride for quite a while like that.
Are you running any kind of fuel management system?
No tuner, only Rush 1.75 slipons. could the plugs be the cause of the popping? I didnt run it for long after the incident but I did ride on home about 3minutes.

Actually might be a better idea to leave those in, to see if they actually look at them.... If they do look at them, they'll probably blame the pipes... especially if they didn't put them on.
No, you can't get HD branded plugs at any other place than HD.
I would put new plugs in and and do a check with them. Hard telling what you did to the plugs running with no mufflers so its hard to get a good read.
Just slip-ons and no fuel management will usually get you some popping on decel. Ive ridden 4 newer harleys with just slip-ons and they all had some popping. It should still run safe but should always be checked when you change performance mods.
I have the V&H slip ons with no AC or tuner and I have no popping at all!! My bike runs great and I have the standard baffles and it's pretty much straigh through!
