Joe... my bike runs like dogs**t in 5th at 50mph.

I hit 5th around 55 and 6th at 65+.

I never use 6th gear below 60mph. I prefer not to shift into 6th until around 65. My bikes sweet spot seems to be around 70-75mph.

Didnt they slightly change the gearing in the '07 and later with the 96's ?

Yes the 07+ have different gearing than the 06

I don't use 6th unless I'm passing someone and going faster than 85mph.
I get better gas mileage in 5th (42+) than 6th (37-) at 85 on the Interstate.
I usually don't use 5th unless I'm doing at least 60-65mph, unless I'm just putting down a 2 lane with no hills (in Colorado?).

I am thinking around 2900 RPM off the top of my head, about the same as it does at 70 in 5th.

Turning right at 3000 at 80mph in 6th on my FXDC.

my warrior was a 5 speed and @80 was right at 3k,now I am thinking this 6 speed would turn little lass....

Most likely had different gearing as well.
