Default 09 Street Bob Front Turn Relocation.

Has anyone done this I just order the front turn signal relocation kit. I want to know how hard this is going to be since the signals are internally wired in the handle bars. Will I run into any problems that others have found.

Thanks

Nick

Yup, gotta have patience in pulling the connectors out of the backbone of the bike, and then pulling the pins out of the connectors. You can cut/splice as a backup, but it looks cleaner if you don't.

Im doing the same MOD myself,
I called the Thieves, they said 2 hours and 300 dollars later and itll be where i want it.
I promptly flipped em the finger, non verbally mouth'd the words FU ( to my self of course) and hung up.
Anyhoot, the thread " Mods under fifty hhave a few ideas using the already furnished brackets and relocating them to the forks, according to them all ya need is a drill and widen the notch a lil and wallah, your in business.

take their word for it, look into it as an alternative.

So exactly what information are you looking for? Which relocation kit did you buy? I've relocated my front and rear turn signals, and did the work myself.

Relocation front signals is definitely an 'under $20' mod. You can use your existing hardware, and utilize the lower pinch bolts on the forks.

You'll have to drill the signal mounts to 3/8":

This is what it looks like on the bike (nice and tucked in close):

You could do hat or just buy this for under 20, it's a little cleaner looking IMHO. https://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produ...eafCatId=22007

I haven't been motivated enough to put mine on yet.

The kit that I purchased is the one that clamps to the forks. My concern is the wiring going into the housing for the clutch and break on the handle bars. So then do I have to disconnect the wiring from the main harness to get that wiring out of the bars and then once I add the kit run it all back to the main?

Narco, that's about the jist of it. To pull the wires from the controls, you'll have to remove the connectors.

1) find connectors that connect to main harness, located in backbone underneath tank.
2) disconnect
3) loosen signals from control housing.
4) loosen control housing.
5) pull wires out.
6) relocate signals.
7) run wires to your desire.
8) reconnect.
