Need help from the experts. I have a chance to get one or the other - a '95 Superglide with ~8k miles or an '05 Superglide with ~10k miles. The '05 is fuel injected.
The '05 will run me $1200 more...Both are solid bikes. Which would be more bang for my buck? I am not well versed in the ins and outs of the twin cam....
All things being equal, (except for the $1200 and 2,000 miles) my knee jerk reaction would be to go for the '05. Bigger motor (88" vs 80") and arguably better more reliable motor. You will also be able to find more HD and aftermarket parts for the '05.
There is more aftermarket support for the '95 being an Evo, not a Twin Cam. Other than the difference in value, which do You like more? I would assume the 05 is faster, stock to stock, if that matters. Just a couple thoughts.
05. I think you will like the EFI. I know that I appreciate it especially when it is cold out. No warm up time, just wait 5 seconds for the yellow light to go out and then hit the switch and go. So far my 05 has been very reliable.
