I know this ain't exactly dyna related and I'm going to post it in the general forum too, but something tonight really made me mad and I would like to do what I could to prevent it from happening again. A close friend of mine has had a dog for about 5 years, it's neglected and his care for it is almost a joke at times, but being a dog lover it pisses me off. Well, tonight his brother had a cookout and as we were leaving we here that Alex found his dog dead in the pen in the back yard. Fu@%ing heat stroke. He said he hadn't checked on him since 11am yesterday and this was at about 9:30 pm tonight when he found him curled up at the gate stiff as a board with a turned over water tub. Sad as hell, cause that was a good dog. Take care of your pets, they got a heart and brain just like you do.
Bruinx9, believe it or not, this was all right up the road from you in Wilson. The guy is one of my best friends, but we've told him his dog escapes to avoid dying of direct sunlight. Just pisses me off to end your day digging a 4 foot hole for 5 year golden retriever that never hurt anything and settled for a sh*t filled pen and some hose water every day or two. This guy lives in a huge house in a nice neighborhood, brand new minivan this weekend for him and the wife and kid. Anybody feed Buddy lately?
Well all that said and you being a good friend of his the only logical thing you can do is never let him own another Pet. He may be a great guy and a good friend but he wasn't a good dog owner. Do him and the doggie's a Solid and keep him a non-dog owning person. At least there's a place to get the word out. as hot as it gets here in NC We all have to pay more attn. to the outside pets. Good on you to start a post like that in a place like this that's about riding. I'm sure the message is well recieved.
I was in the same situation here with someone I didn't know. We called appropriate organisation who came around, took the dog and fined the motherfarking owner.
Nice guy? NOT. If one of my friends did that, they would be ex-friends. This guy is morally bankrupt. I would tell him to his face he is an a--hole and have nothing to do with the jerk. I would also have called the police on him for cruelty to animals. Have his *** picked up and charged, call the newspaper and have him exposed for the cruel hearted SOB he truly is. He may appear like a "nice guy" on the outside, but his actions towards the defenseless speaks for him. [sm=icon_flaming.gif]

I have to agree with you!! I would tie him up in a cage and let him sit with no water for 2 or 5 days and see how he likes it. I hate this guy and I don't even know him and if I did I would kick his teeth in and **** on his face! People like that make me sick!! Just my 2 cents.... Donnie
God has a special place in His home for abused animals..........and sends the abusers to their "special" place. I'd love to have a 3 minute visit with the dude.
My dogs name is Buddy too. Sometimes I think he gets treated better than my kids! This guy should NOT get another animal and should get something for what he has already done.
