I've been lurking a while, but just now signed up. Have had a million bikes, but finally getting ready to purchase my first Harley. I am currently deployed to the Middle East (military), so I will either purchase through military sales (if anyone has gouge on that it would be appreciated), or through my local San Diego dealer (depends on a few factors). So, I need to get this ball rolling so I can pick up my bike ASAP after my return in mid-November.
I've read just about every Dyna post, and I am confused. Does anyone know (for sure) whether or not I can put drag bars on the 2010 Street Bob? I like both the Street Bob and the Fat Bob. Honestly, if I could put a Street Bob rear fender on the Fat Bob (without spending a fortune), this decision would be made. However, I also like the Street Bob, but I do not like the mini-Apes. I am simply not comfortable riding in that position.
If anyone knows whether or not I can put drag bars on a Street Bob, without spending a huge fortune, or, alternatively, a Street Bob rear fender on a Fat Bob (in both cases a 2010 model), I would really appreciate the info.
Thanks everyone, you have a great thing going here.
i'm not sure if the new street bob has intergrated riser like the 08 and 09 did... if thats the case then you may be stuck with real low drag bars. 1" is what the intergrated riser are. but there is also riser extensions out there that can get you up to 3" total rise. the fat bob rear fender on the street bob is doable, i think anyways.
but i think you should seriously look at the new wide glide. its got the fender and the bars your looking for. plus you get the wide glide front end and black wheels and what not. worth looking into!!!

Damn bro, you are my hero! Guess I should have dug a little deeper. The first pic I saw of the WG (HD Website) turned me off. Dug a little deeper, you are spot on. Exactly what I was looking for. It will be placed on order next time I hit Bahrain.

That was my first thought when I read your post. "Sounds like he wants the new 2010 Dyna Fat Street Wide Bob Glide". Sorry, it's a sweet bike and if I were buying a dyna today instead of 3 years ago, that's the one I'd pick. But it does look like they took parts from all 3 to make one bike. Not a bad thing, however.
Welcome to the forum. Hang around after you get your bike and be sure to post pix.
