Torque question
Can anyone do me a favor and look up the torque specs for a 2009 Dyna breather bolt? I'm swapping the stock A/C for the SE Stg I that I picked up from another forum member and it came sans instructions. Guess it's time I got a service manual, but the stealer is closed today and I was hoping to get this done before my PC-V comes tomorrow. Thanks!
Made a run to the attic to get the instruction sheet, SE kit for the Dyna.
I was a little off...60 in/lbs was the other bolts...
The breather bolt torque is 120 - 144 in/lbs.
Just don't want him to put too much torque on aluminum threads.....Not trying to argue.

the 24 ft lbs comes from the shop manuel, those 2 bolts support the throttlebody and filter, your looking at the 3 filter bolts at 120 in lbs.

I ended up not doing this tonight. 24 ft/lbs does seem high, and the conversion doesn't work. e.g. if the instruction sheet says 120-144 in/lbs, 22-24 ft/lbs would be about double that :\
Thanks for checking Greg.

OK....
Screamin Eagle Stage 1 Kit for Dyna Models - Instruction Sheet
2 Breather Bolts - 120-144 in/lbs
3 Filter Bolts - 55-60 in/lbs
3 Filter screws - 55-60 in/lbs
I can scan the page if I have to.
No problem, dmercer....Just use blue loctite on all of the bolts and hand tighten them snug. It's not that big a deal.
