Well, since it sounded so good on my dad's old '86 Low Rider and some people here have done it on the new ones, I decided to take out the baffle on my 08 Low Rider.
Not sure I'm a fan. It sounds good when I am on it, but right off idle in the low revs it sounds like you are listening to a subwoofer without any supporting mids or highs. Below 25MPH I'm not sure I like it. Gotta either find another set of stockers, or I might just get the stock baffles rewelded in after pulling some additional holes in it, get an aftermarket set of baffles, or just suck it up through the fall and not worry about it since I plan on going with "real" exhaust next spring. I'm thinking the least expensive option is the reweld/tack back in.
I've got some video I'll try to get up later. Bummed me out though.
I would consider that if I didn't plan on dropping a nice chunk of change on V&H Big Shots/Stage1/tube this upcoming spring. I'm thinking of trying to find another set of stock ones that someone is trying to clear storage from, or just weld the baffles back in.

If you lived near me you could have mine, they had 110 miles on them when I put on my V&H straight shots.
Find out , I still have the boxes that the Straight shots came in and I'll never use these original mufflers so I could ship em in those boxes Im in 01863
