Anyone have the Accel SLM?

I have one on each bike.
No complaint except one. When we first added the new Rhineharts and SLM it took a while for the SLM to learn and while it did so the bike ran lean and our pipes turned gold up near the engine. I'm sure there are a combination of things but since it self tunes it does take a few miles to do this.

SLM on Trike
I have a 2007 street glide...110 screamin eagle on a DFT trike kit.Have a Dyno Jet now.But having issues with ping and knock. Ready to take it to a dyno shop. Will a SLM save me time and $$$...?

HI All: I see this is an old thread, however since I have recent experience with SLM03 I thought I'd post some comments: just installed VO2 intake, had Freedom Performance pipes and added the SLM03, ran great. I felt a slight difference in acceleration and no popping or hesitation at all. That exhaust was sold on eBay, and installed Patriot Defender exhaust. This gave me terrible results, as it seems the new pipes (larger diam) have leaned the engine too much and the SLM cannot seem to compensate. I tried the variable baffle valve on the pipe, and no difference. There is definitely a loss of power and popping specially at low rpms or downshifting. If I cannot resolve it, I will purchase the Patriot Top Fueler controller made for these pipes. Any ideas or comments are welcome, thanks.
