I find easiest and most accurate to check my level cold, the service manual states half way up the dipstick is the proper reading cold........

True... However, the "resurrecter" had a current question that was on topic, and wasn't a response to a ten year old comment. It seems better to add it to a pertinent thread than to start a new one on the same topic... I think? I dunno...

I don't think it's in the same category as when someone asks the OP a direct question and the OP hasn't been active in years...
