Joe, if you havent done it already, upgrade your chain tensioner to 39929-06a.
The original one in the 06 would tweak and bend, allowing the shoe to ratchet all the way up. Maybe do your IPB while you're in there, and why not do the stator. Did I mention a SE Compensator too?

killer man... let me know and i can run out your way and bring you some $ thanks again bud! I sent you a PM on the chicago site as well... about more power... let me know what you think... give me a shout
when i had my primary covers off i replaced everything...gaskets,bearing,starter/jackshaft bushings, jackshaft seal,..might want to get a new jackshaft bolt and washer.......i know alot to get but might as well do it now than later
Make sure you replace the 5 sealing bolts that hold the inner primary, and all gaskets, including that donut shaped gasket. And that big *** nut that you need to get off, is a reverse thread.. so turning left tightens and turning right loosens.
AND BE CAREFUL when you are taking out the 5 OLD primary sealing bolts. They are ****. I broke one trying to get it out. Be very very careful with that crap.
Good luck! I say leave the primary wrinkle. Don't want to much gloss on the bike. It might look out of place.
