Default 06 Low Rider Oil Leak

Just had my first service done on my '06 Low Rider...no leaks prior, but now I walk out into garage and see a small stain on the floor. I look under the primary, sure enough I see a small amount getting ready to fall. I can't quite tell where its is coming from...maybe a air gap from the primary cover. I know it's Harley...but I wasn't expecting oil leaks on one that's BRAND NEW!! Any ideas??!!

Clean the leak, Clean the bike. Put down some carboard or something that will show up the leaks. Run the bike for a while to warm it up. Then park it on the cardboard. Check to see if there are any leaks present when you get off the bike. I had a leak after I did some work and could only see it if the bike had been warmed up. Check your drain plugs as well.

It may just be oil that they did not clean off the bike after the fluid changes. Cleaning the bike will remove any leftovers of that and you should be able to tell if you actually have a leak or not.

Good luck

JT

After my last oil change (3rd one i've had) i came out the next morning and found a small amount on the floor. I was not a happy camper but i wiped it down and the floor. Went riding, put it up. Next morning no puddle. Hopefully it's like mine, they didn't clean up good after doing the work.

Thanks for the input...so I guess I should rinse it off around the primary, and hopefully any residue will wash out. I have ridden the bike three times since the service...the last two (after I noticed the oil) I wiped under the primary, but it re-appeared the next ride, but not until it was warmed up again. This forum is nice for learning little tricks...Thanks again.
