Not sure what you see, but it does not show as a sticky when I open the Dyna page. I see 3 Announcements and 2 stickies, and this ain't one of them that I can see.
After migrating chrome control levers from bike to bike for years the MoCo conspired to force me to buy new ones as the ones on the old sled don't fit the 2010. Having yanked levers off so many bikes I can't begin to count I don't know what possessed me to actually look at the Instruction sheet. I was flabbergasted!
This thing sez in order to install a chrome brake lever to drain the front brake reservoir, remove the banjo, disconnect the lines, etc, etc, etc. WHY? That's ridiculous!
So, as always, I simply loosened the bolts on the master cylinder assembly as well as the switch housings, pulled the pivot pin and the brake lever all but fell out. Stuck the new one in, stuck the pivot pin and snap ring on, retightened the loosened screws and was done.
I gotta wonder how many of the uninitiated are gonna be dousing their bikes with DOT 4 following these absurd instructions? Sheesh......
Just proves why men don't read instructions..They are written for the lowest common demoninator. It is a legal and safety factor...too many fricken lawyers.
I have added the instruction sheets for the different types (39mm, 41mm, 49mm) DETACHABLE WINDSHIELD AND QUICK-CLAMP DOCKING KITS as used in p/n's 58063-04, 59802-05 and 57340-08.
