Dyna Decissions
1. Tank mounted speedo. I like it better
2. Full/complete rear fender. I just don't care for the bobtail or "chopped" rear fender.
From there I went with the one that fit my price and wants as far as color, etc. I wound up buying used as the FXDC had everything I wanted, loved the color (Pewter Pearl) and it already had V&H, forward controls, smooth laced wheels and some other tidbits on it. Only problem was a paint chip on the rear fender behind the plate mount. The dealer actually wound up sending the fender out to their painter and had the entire thing repainted for the bubble after I purchased. I was just going to do it over the winter (father was a body shop guy in his younger years)
I've been wrestling with what Dyna to buy on my ride free promotion Iron trade-in for the last several months, changing my mind almost every day.
Finally had it narrowed down to either a FXDC or FXDB in vivid black. Tried to convince myself to buy that FXDC because it is obviously the best value with all that chrome and already setup for 2up (which i was going to add to the FXDB). I found a dealer that had both, so I went in to test ride them.
What happened? Right next to those 2 bikes is this 2010 FXDB in Red Hot Sunglo (1st year for this color on the Bob).
All that online studying of both bikes and what I thought I would be happiest with went out the window. When I saw that bike I knew it was the one.

(granted it isn't the 2010 but still has the 21").
