Can someone tell me where to get a bracket for this windshield?
I have an '09 SG (49mm fork tubes) with a Sportster style speedo and tach on the front of the bars. I need the windshield to clear the gauges.
I guess this is the windshield that comes from the "windshield kit, p/n 58006-87B or 58006-87C to be used on 39mm fork "narrow glide" Dyna models (not FXDWG)
A simular type of windshield was mounted to my 2003 FXD when I bought it 4 years ago.
If you need additional images, just let me know and I'll post some.
I hate bumping a thread but someone must have some experience with this type of windshield mount. Is it worth keeping or should I just throw it in the trash?
The first thing I'd do is find out the p/n, if it's an HD windshield. Maybe finding out what it came off of might be easier way to the p/n...then on to what you need to mount it.

I'd pitch it. Looks too scratched. Similar to one I've seen before that bolts directly to you fork so there may not be any type of 'adapter' that's needed.
Some bikes (like my 02 WG) have a bolt at the top of the fork for this type of windshield but the windshield also usually has another part that connects to your bars for stability.
i would think that you could use the same hardware kit that all the 49 mm tubes use... do not see any reason why not. that looks like an american shield windshield

Joe,
I agree with you on the 49mm clamps.
There could be a slight problem in the width of the hole pattern were the adjustable brackets (see att. 1 pos. 15 & 16) hold the windshield in relation to the width of the 49 mm forks.
The brackets on the shield I had on my 2003 Dyna are spaced 11" (see att. 2)
Question now is: what is the space between the (outer)side of the 49mm clamps when mounted to the 49mm forks (see att.3). If this is 11" or less, this shield would fit. If it is more some remodeling has to be done.
