I have a HD QD low profile shield that after several adjustments, I've minimized the buffeting, but it's still there.

I only use it for cold weather riding or extended highway/freeway riding. It does help lessen fatigue.

 

Thanks for all the feedback. Just for the heck of it, I pulled my windshield off the shelf that's been collecting dust since the one time I used it on my V-rod. I mounted the quick-release brackets on the upper fork tubes, attached the shiled and voila. The only problem is it's taller than I would like and will require me to look through the shield. But, it looks like it's made for the bike...looks like chit...as do most HD windshields IMO. Considering it's only going to be used for cool weather riding, I'm going to give it a try. Might slip away from work this afternoon and do a test run. If it buffets like it did on the Rod, it's going in the dumpster!

It's amazing how HD parts are so interchangable between (similar) models. Hoping it works out....nothing like solving a problem for $0.

 

kept adjusting mine up and down till I found the best spot and put a windshield bag on still get a little but not bad

 

I use the standard HD QD windshield and adjust to look over the top. As I mentioned, I don't really notice any objectional buffeting.
