07 dyna stator rotor gone ,starter clutch is gone, and two lifter leaks, at 6k miles, harleys response your warranty is up your problem, great customer service.....just wondering if this is quite a common occurrence on this engine model and whats the cause of all this seems like HD knows theres a problem with this.
If you're a regular customer and have had your bike serviced at a franchise, ask for good will. Franchises are allotted so much per year from the factory (depending on how much business they do and their [financial] reporte with Milwaukee).
The stator problem may very well be due to the compensator nut being too loose. There is a spacer/shim that is available to tighten things up there.
I've seen starter bendix/clutches go early sometimes because the rider misses the turn signal and hits the starter button while the bike is running. Even though the clutch is designed to run "backward" in relation to the direction in takes to turn over your drive-train, it's not good to engage it while the bike is running. I"ve known of some riders to unwittingly hit the start button just by the way they hold their hand on the bar/grip. Crazy, I know; but it is what it is- sorta like some riders who rest their toe on the shifter.
As far as the lifters go; I don't know what to tell you there.
