I really like the new look of my T bars and so far the comfort is good. I had to modify the speedo mount cause it was mounted to the riser before. but it came out good. Now I need to change out the brake and clutch cables, dam alsways sumpthin!
I think the bars look great. I don't know that I would keep the set up on the speedo. The dyna vibrates enough that it could stress that mount. I would recommend something with a little more surface area to mate the two anchor points. I think it's great that you are getting creative though.
Interesting approach, looks nice. Can you see the speedo and indicator lights ok? Did you just use the stock speedo mount and make the two posts up to attach it? HD sells a chrome bracket (67293-95), which I have installed on my '06. I'm toying with the idea of flipping it around and mounting aft of the handlebar, with a t-bar or else a drag bar on risers. Having a hard time finding the ideal solution to the speedo mount...
By the way, the headlight (an Ultima) is out being powder coated black now. The bike now has black Progressive 412's (the struts were a bit much for the wife ), and an HD rack with the quick-disconnect pillion (also black). I'm also installing a few other goodies, and the bike will look a little different. I'll post some more pics when it's done.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. Still interested in Kenward's speedo mount, too.
I mounted spacers to the headlight cover, seems real solid and does not vibrate that I have noticed, I can see gauge and lights just fine. I am happy with it!!!!
