This doesn't quite make it into the under $50 thread, but close. I went to the scrap metal dealer and picked up the pieces, got a buddy with a welder to put it together for me. Works great.
Do you need someone to strap it down whiile you sit on it?
I have the Harbor Freight chock and it looks a lot like that.

I managed to do it by myself. I played around with the strap on the left side first (kick stand side). Once I got that the right length I knew it wouldn't fall to the right, and if it fell to the left it would still land on the kick stand. If I could have turned the straps end for end and had the ratches up near the bars it would have made things much easier. But going straight from the bars to the brace the turn signals got in the way so I had to route the straps through the forks.
