My WG fresh from rebuild. Engine is 9.5:1 JE pistons at .05 over, chrome moly adjustable push rods, Andrews EV-27 cam, Crane HI-4n ignition with dual fire coil, S&S super E carb, drag pipes with cones. Will finish it up by installing a cross bones seat.

1999 with Stage 2 big bore kit, custom front wheel, fat boy rear wheel,
saddleman gel seat, chrome .... forks, swingarm, calipers, inner primary
and a bunch of other items. 26,000 miles .....

Saddlebags for an '04 FXDWG
Okay, I own 1 vehicle, an '04 Wide Glide. I need to put saddlebags on, have gone through the HD catalog, all the bags listed specifically exclude the '02-'05 FXDWG. I've asked at the dealers in the area, nobody can explain why these specific years are excluded, the mounting posts look to be the same distance apart, there is no significant difference in height between rails and pipes, shocks are not mounted different, yet no answer available. Bought after market, stated in ad that would hard mount to the year and model, tried following instructions, didn't work, took to local independent, they couldn't get to fit hard mount so now have throw overs with support that bounce around plus look cheesy. Does anyone have info on why newer saddlebags listed in the HD catalog won't fit? Dealer was helpful in giving me the part number for the saddlebags sold in the '04 HD catalog and am continuously searching for a pair but would be nice to know why the catalog says they won't fit.

When I get back to the states I'm going to order some 14" carlini evil apes and a 1 in riser, and maybe a 2" tank lift. Not sure about the tank lift yet though.
