Here's a couple of pictures of another ugly bob-tailed wide glide
I just got back from a nice two day ride around the Olympic Peninsula before the crazy 4th.
Tried out my relatively new Mustang touring seats on a longer trip. Love 'em. No butt tingle at all. Got off the bike the first day only twice to gas up and put my jacket on.
Windscreen looks awefully buggy, but can't tell here.
No offense to the Bobs, but it's in the only kind of black I like,... shiny black.
This is my stock 06 Wide Glide with 9Kmiles on it since I bought it in October 05. I haven't ridden since the 1970's when I had a Kawasaki 900 and a Norton Commando. I thought I'd start riding again and bought the WG strickly on looks. I've been very happy with it.
For those that asked, mine is "Brandy Wine Sunglo"
I finally put my first mod on too--put the forward control extensions on (I'm 6'8" tall--anything for comfort)
Where did you order them from? I feel very cramped on my bike and i always end up putting/hanging my feet over the top of my current controls. How many inches does it extend them forward?
Actually got em from Dennis Kirk, via their ebay "scratch & dent" seller. only paid $75 shipped, and the only problem was a scratch in the chrome on the inside where you can't see it.
They are made by Kuryakyn, and move the pegs out about 3 inches
I too bought a WG because of the forward controls and also went with the tallboy seat and have not had any problems with it. I an 6"3" with most of the length in the legs still looking to possiby move the controls out a few more inches or I though I might get some highway pegs for that. I am still trying to figure out the picture posting thing. I have the WG in the Dragonfly green and black, have gotten many compliments on the paint, it is really neat the way it changes to the blue when the sun hits it. Hope to get some riding in this weekend sice the old lady is out of the country for awhile. I am up in northern VA. Hope everyone had a nice safe 4th.

06 FXDWG/I with a few mods and more waiting to be install, like some SE II mufflers, SE A/C, still reading the instructions for the SERT
i love my 06 wg the street bob looks cheap parked next to it
wew....better be careful on this board!
Ya know I thought the same thing, but I didn't say anything. Like I said when I started the thread, I Do like the bob's, but I felt like we were being taken over.
By no means do I think that they are cheap looking. I think they're cool, but the W.G. Just fit me too perfect to buy something else.
