Thanks. This was what I was looking for. The Don posted a link awhile back and I couldn't find the thread.
Man, I looked for a long time at the pictures on their website and could not for the life of me figure out how they lowered the suspension. By comparing their pics side by side with one of mine, I noticed that the block adjusts the lower mounting point to the rear and thus lowering the suspension height. Great option. Thanks again.
After I installed the Burly slammer on my Bob, I got worried about the handling but I adjusted over 4 notches for the preload (230LBs) the ride is not that bad at all. Just 4 hours ago I was 70 MPH on a bumpy road. I was impressed, it handled quite well.
Looked at the kit Tamarack kit for the Sportster...1" kit says not recommended if you weigh over 125#s?? I've riden my wife's stock Iron and I'm pushing 240 and it rides fine. Does lowering the rear 1" really limit the rear suspension that much??
I did lowering blocks in the rear and progressive drop in front fork it. Less than 200 bucks total. I'm very pleased. Super easy to install, still rides nice.
