I asked lots of questions and looked at a lot of seats before I purchased the Mustang so I thought I would give some information and pic's for those who are still looking. I wanted to share the experience with my wife, but I wasn't sure if she would like it so I went with the two piece.
Driver Seat: Vintage Solo
Pillion: Wide Vintage Solo
Backrest Pad: 9" Mustang Vintage with screwhole
Backrest: Haulen *** by US Transportation. Went with that because I prefer the clean look versus traditional sissy bar.
Comfort: Well my wife really likes the padding and the room it provides. My bucket....well why did I wait this long. It's great. I prefer the solo look but when you want to haul a passenger, you gotta have a seat for them. When I am solo, I will go with the driver bucket and the motherwell rack. Total cost for seat and backrest was around $640

Thanks for the pics of your Mustang seat, looks great. I can visualize how it would look without the extra seat on the back and it looks good on your bike. I can also understand about the comfort thing in regards to a passenger.
I've been hoping someone would post pics of the Mustang Vintage two piece thanks. Was it an easy fit on the bike? Some people have told me the solo bucket has stiff foam, is it true? Great looking setup!
Gentleman,
Thanks for the compliments on the Mustang set-up. The reason I went with the regular solo and the wide pillion is that put both of those seats at the same width. Had I went with the wide driver's bucket it would have put the driver bucket several inches wider than the pillion. I thought having them at the same width would look better. Yes you can mix and match the standard driver bucket with the wider pillion.
The comfort is great. The first ride I took on it, I thought it was a little stiff. After the first ride I began to appreciate the firmness and extra support. The back support when the passenger pillion is on is phenomenal. I think there is at least 5 inches on back support. Even the solo driver bucket has much more support than the regular brawler seat. Originally I was looking at the Corbin solo and pillion and the dual tourer but $800-900 was significantly more than the $445 that I spent for the Mustang seat. And mama's happy which is what really matters. I bought the seat from West End Motorsports, they were excellent with fast shipping, I will provide the link.
