I have them on for almost 2 yrs. and haven't had any problems. It was a easy install, took about 15-20 minutes. The hardest part was getting at the wiring under the tank. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/membe...re9239-029.jpg

I have them. The gauge is kewl but Iam on my second gas cap. It will free spin after awhile so I came up with a solution to my problem. JB welded a little spot on the edge underneath it so it will still turn and click. Dont like the blue LED teeth wish it match my speedo color lights.

No problems with it. I used a very long set of needle nose pliers to hook the wiring up under the gas tank. Been on for 1 1/2 years now.

Where is the wire under the tank? Do you have any pic's of the area where the wires are?

I don't have any pictures, but it might be the same as yours. If you look under the left side of your tank you'll see where the wires come out for the fuel gauge, they will be right under where the fuel gauge is on top. Follow them back, you'll have to bend the clamp back a little to get some slack and gently pull on the wires until the connector comes out of the frame/tunnel and just diconnect. If I remember right the wires are in a black plastic conduit. Just follow the instructions and you will be in good shape. Like I said the hardest part for me was getting my fingers under the tank to get at the clamp holding the wires.
