Apes with pull-back question
Last year I installed 14" Burley narrow apes. Hate them. 7" is not enough pull-back for my oompah-loompah arms, I guess. I would simply pull them back to suit, but IMO apes that are pulled back beyond flush with the fork tubes look funny.
Anyone have some ideas (maybe point me to a forum where this has been discussed) on where to find 12" bars with more than 7" of pullback and with center width that doesn't exceed the fork width?
thx in advance for your help.

If you otherwise like those apes, why not just mount them to pullback risers? If you needed them back even further, you could use dogbone risers … but since they give you two possible points of rotation, be damn sure you get everything t-i-g-h-t if you go that route. GL!

My personal experience with wild ones is that I don't like em at all! Like rounder said, the base is very wide & the pull back bends are at a goofy angle (not bent down enough for as much pull back as they have) putting your wrists at a horrible angle! I've bought some cheapo apes that were half as much as wild ones that were twice as comfortable with just as good a finish on the chrome! Fu** getting used to something that sucks, LOL!
I was in at the local HD shop the other day. There was a dyna with those wild ones. Great pull back, but looked damn funny with that super wide base.
Has anyone seen these flanders bars or had any experience with them? They look about right for pull back and base width
