installing front fork turn signal relocation
I just received a front fork turn signal relocation kit from Kuryakyn. It came with no instructions. I talked to Kuryakyn and the tech guy spit out some babble that did not make a bit of sense to me.
Any ever install this one or one like it? The Harley version is very different and they have instructions on line but do not correlate to the Kuryakyn.
thanks

You may be able to find some instructions here that might help:

If you go to the Kuryakyn web page, you will find that each product has it's own installation instructions directly below the product - the instructions are in .PDF format.
Here's an example for the Kuryakyn "Late Style Turn Signal Kit" - go to this link: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...cID/7/IMID/644 Once there, look directly under the picture of the turn signals where it says "Related Resources." You will see a PDF file titled "installation instructions." So go to the Kuryakyn web page, www.kuryakyn.com and find your product and the install instructions should be there.

I cannot figure this one out. I don't know what that website ......bcaanet....is. It's about airplanes. And there are no instructions on the Kuryakyn web site. Even the people at Kuryakyn say they do not have written instructions.
Thanks anyway

You'll probably find better instructions here if you search. Unless they've changed it, the Kury 49mm fork brackets do NOT come with the correct bolts you need to attach your stock HD turn signals. And the ones you need can be a little hard to find. I have those brackets on my bike and others here do too. You need the identical size and style bolts that come with the kit but you need them in a fine thread vs. the coarse thread. The brackets are made for Kury's signals which take a coarse threaded bolt. If you search form "f'ugly wings" (don't ask) in the dyna forum, you'll find some info. Or try searching for 49mm and/or Kuryakyn relocation.
These are the bolts you need below. Also, you'll need some sort of washer or spacer so that the lights will flush up with the mounts. These are the "jam nuts" mentioned below:
"OK, size of the bolts are buttonhead 5/16 24 x 1 3/4. Jam nuts I used are 1/4 x 28. I bought mine in chrome at allensfasteners.com"

They must have modified the kit. It seems to have all the correct bolts nuts and spacers/washers. There are now different separate package applications given with the kit; one to be discarded.

My mistake - I put the wrong URL for the Kuryakyn example - I had copied another URL earlier and it was still in my clipboard. I've corrected the original post. Here is the example I was citing to show you the example of install instructions: http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...cID/7/IMID/644
Who told you that there were no install instructions on the Kuryakyn web page? There are install instructions in .PDF format for almost all of their products shown on their website.
Do you know how to navigate on the internet?
1. Go to www.kuryakyn.com
2. When you get there, click on the left side, on the yellow lettering, where it says "Enter Our Harley Section"
3. When that webpage loads, you will see the product groups across the top of the webpage in yellow lettering (Lighting, Wheels, Grips, etc). Hold your cursor over the word LIGHTING and then from the pulldown menu, select either "Silver Bullet Turn Signals" or "Taillights and Turn Signals".
4. When you find the picture of your Kuryakyn product, click on it and the install instructions will be there under the photo of the product.
What is the Part Number and Name of the Product on the Kuryakyn Box that your turn signals came in?

That's good to know. So, I don't mean to insult you but there really isn't anything else difficult to figure out about installing the kit components themselves. I mean, you attach the signals to the ring clamp and then clamp the 2 halves of the rings together around your forks. Are you actually just looking for how to get your turn signals off the bars and down to the forks?
