Default Heel Rest Kit

Has anyone used this heel rest kit on the '06 and later Dynas?

It states that it won't fit, but we all know they've been wrong before...I like these more than the Kuryakyn stirrups, but I'll go Kury if these definitely won't work.

I'm using them on my 08 Fatbob. They work, but I drag them easily when making turns. Another bad side is that the extra leverage created by the heel rest causes the right side peg mount to loosen very easily(use red loctite).

Cool, thanks for the confirmation and advice. I'll definitely have to loctite it up.

After some consideration i went with the kury switchblades. At least they can be folded in when your hitting the twisties aggressively.

I have the Kury Iso's on the 99 Dyna DS. Love 'em for comfort. +1 on the locktite.

Why do the Kury's provide more clearance? They look just as wide to me. I did have Kury's at one time on my FXR, and I scraped those often enough but mostly in the mountains.

I'm running the Harley heel-rests on my 06 Dyna with the factory forward controls. They can be reversed side for side where they tuck in closer to the frame and rotated up a bit to lesson the chance of scrapage plus to me they look better that way.

Also you can fold up just the foot peg or the whole assembly including the heel-rest if you're parked in tight to another bike.

Good Luck

Tom
