got the snap ring pliers. I have to change to a longer cable when my new risers arrive, I figured while in there maybe install the burly kit, might be nice to have a softer pull. If it is really junk, I'll leave well enough alone. If it works fine.... then I'll probably get it. I am not going to be installing the Harley one, no compressor tool for the removal of the stock spring.

you don't need any special tool just like a 1/2 or 7/16 wrench on that side thats it!!! simple job the other side is more of a pain in the ***. but it is a easy job over all
Something to remember when you do this job on the right side of the trans - it doesn't hurt to have an extra gasket. Mine was ok so I reused it but it was a James gasket. If you put the front and rear wheels on 2x4 boards and lean it on the kickstand the night before then you will probably have very little oil loss out of the trans when you take the cover off. Also; If you don't already have the correct short shoulder allen wrench for the bolts then you should try to find a set (I found them on Amazon I think). It will make your job much easier if you don't have to move the exhaust pipe. They may have the size you need here.
I would assume you have a 2005 or earlier Dyna, if that is the case see how a 2006 and up Dyna clutch pull feels. Below is the link to the kit that is factory installed on the 2006 and up models.

so when texas speed freak said I need a compressor tool to compress and remove the stock spring, That was incorrect? I reviewed my service manual and it looks like the spring comes apart simply by removing the six bolts in a star fashion then just remove the retainer, remove the spring, replace spring and bolt it all back up. One thing the service manual does not state is whether or not the clutch pack adjuster should be released (loosened up)before doing this.

thats right 6 little bolts some bule locktight addjust the cluch with the alen and 11/16 than do the barrel nut on the cable and you are done buttn up primary add fluid
