so how many miles did you have on it when you did that he has 70,000 and talking about a whole top end which is entirely different,
When I did my rebuild the bike had 50k on it. I sold it to my Brother-in-Law at the 80k mark in 2005 when I bought my Street Glide.
To date the only problem he has had was the stock belt breaking in 2006. Not bad for an 18 year old 1.5" belt. I'll have to check with him on the current mileage, but it's gotta be close to if not over 100k.

ok no disrespect intended , but that is different than a top end rebuild a bore. port and polish should be fine but a top end rebuild thats is askin for trouble with that kind of mileage, to the op do your homework first go to a good engine builder and talk to them they may have better answers i could be wrong on this one let us know how it goes .
