30T Pulley Tools

I've done the reading and I'm convinced - So, I ordered the Andrews 30T tranny pulley.

I went to George's Garage to look at the suggested tools and they are out of stock on the pulley locking tool.

I believe I can get the tool from somewhere else but my question - do I really need it?

Are there other ways or "tricks" to remove and install the pulley locking nut without using the pulley locking tool ???

Open to ideas (haven't bought the socket yet, either).

+1, If I can remember through the haze of Jack, someone detailed a 30T pulley change where they did that exact thing. Except they had the wife stand on the rear brake, or something like that.

There was some discussion of reselling the tool to forum mebers by one of the guys that bought it, I think it was Shag67. Try PM and see if he is still interested.
