I noticed the 'accessories' were sporting pretty steep price tags, too ... I think their target market is those with more money than common sense--who buy status symbols ....
If money were no object, I'd have Bently and Ferrari cages and an Indian (of course I'd hang onto my present scoot ...)
Born and raised in Springfield,MA home of the real Indian Motorcycles. Im calling shenanigans....hasnt been a real Indian in 50+ yrs. and thats how it should stay.
Grew up down the road from springfield mass. I'm not a fan of the new bikes. Super overpriced IMHO. We have a local dealer here in Tampa area. They always have a couple at our wed. bike night extravaganza. Not my cup of tea.
Too bad they cost too much and have an underpowered engine. They sure look a lot better than the Victorys. It would be good for the consumer if Harley-Davidson had some real competition.
I have always wanted an Indian... think I would rather have a Kiwi Indian tho.
Yeah ... although I like the looks of the two I originally posted--the Dark Horse and Bomber variants of the Chief--I really like the Kiwi bikes as well ....
But those mothers ain't exactly cheap either ....
I dig the Chieftain, but everything is nostalgic except the X-wedge engine from S&S ... I especially like the girder front end and 'hard tail' with shocks frame ....
I really like the 30's model and the bobber, too ... but, those prices are ... whew!
I was a little suspect of the flathead "side valve" ... until I noticed that they displace 84 cubes ... I suspect a few more horses than the old 45's ... would be interested in output of those 84 flatty motors ....
