Has anybody here gone the hidden grip switch route?
I was eyeing off the kit over the weekend and now I'm thinking about what else needs to be done to make this work (replacement leaver/perch setup, spacers, brake switch, throttle control...)
I've looked at the PM setup, and while nice, I like the hidden switch kit better (and it seems a cheaper option)
What the......? Thats what im doing! Great minds think alike. I bought the first three from Eurocomponents and got taken to the cleaners for pricing. Paid $20 more per switch WTF!!!! I am however running to all the glitches now associated with ditching OEM switches, especially the stupid clutch interlock. I disconnected it completely and cant shut down the security when I turn the bike on but in the preliminary stage right now so i'll figure it out.
Im not exactly sure what the clutch switch controls but my plan is to wire it closed. I assume its to just keep you from starting your bike in gear without the clutch pulled? Brake switch is gettin nixed too. May later on go with one of those inline compresion switches for the front brake.
As far as the brake switch, if im using the frontbrake im using the rear, so I figure ive got brakelights. With the clutch switch disconnected completely it certainly doesnt work so today im going to jump them and try that.
