Default Fork Oil Replacement Question!

My DYNA Owners Manual calls for the fork oil in my 2007 FXDWG to be changed at 50,000 miles.

Should I really wait that long?

Seems like many here have done it earlier.

I change mine every year - usually in the spring. Some bikes it doesn't seem to make much difference, but on mine it's like a new front end every time. Makes a tremendous difference in the handling and ride.

I did mine at about 2,000mi and it was dirty and 4oz. difference between them. They don't use the best oil either.

Interesting spread. I'm inclined to wait also.

Making my bike handle better was well worth changing the fork oil.

I can't imagine why one would ever need to change fork oil.
