Default problem with key

this has happened twice in one week
It is 06 superglide with key on the neck
I have went to turn on ignition and the key turns fine and is in the run position but only lights will come on (no indicater lights or fuel pressurization and of corse nothing when i try to start it)
I will then wiggle the key a little and everything will be fine

Should I be worried about this?
I don't mind wiggling the key to get it to start every once and a while I just don't want it to be a problem later (like leaving me stranded)

Recently I added a tach on handle bars and had to extend the wires in the harness that came in the hd kit, they go only from the main harness in neck to the speedo/tach/indicator lights.
Could this be a problem?
I did do a test and started the bike and run it without the new harness installed, by this I mean I ran the bike with the harness removed no speedo/tach/indicater lights at all just to make sure if something went wrong with my wiring I would be fine.
Everthing worked normal.
What do ya'll think?
Is this a problem?

Personally what I'd do, is take ignition switch out, and check, inspect it and the plug that connects to it. I had a spell a couple months back that scared/confused the dog **** out of me. I'd be going down the road and whaam, bike would shut down. Maybe it would start and maybe it wouldn't. I found my igntion switch connector was barely on, so it was intermittantly getting juice. I pulled the whole switch out and zip tied that mother together, because going 75 down the freeway and having power cut on ya will make your eyes as big as your side mirrors. No lights, no fuel pump no nothing.

I had to keep wiggling the key on mine, it will keep getting worse.
It was pretty easy to replace on mine since it is under the seat, not sure how the newer ones work in the neck.

The HD replacement is expensive, I used a switch from Biker's Choice for under $25.

Check with your dealer maybe you can get it replaced under warranty?
