Default Lepera Silhouette Solo seat

Just ordered a Lepera Silhouette Solo foy my SB. Is my butt going to be sorry I did this ? How does this seat compare to stock ? My riding us under 100 miles most of the time. Also I see people complain about the comfort on the Barebones, I hope the Silhouette provides more comfort(padding) than that. If need be I will pick up a Mustang Vintage Solo for the occasional 100+ mile trip. Any info appreciated.

I had that seat for about 5 months or so. I thought it rode fine for distances you are planning. The only problem I found was that it put me too far back. But I'm only 5'9. I sold it to another forum member and got an "up-front barebones". I think you'll like it.

Really ? I am 5' 11" and a 30" inseam only 2" taller than you. How far back compared to stock does it sit you at ? I might have to adjust the mini apes back towards me. I have mids so I should be OK there. I did not think there would be a noticable movement backwards.

I went with the Silhouette for my SB and figured my A$$ would get used to it...Or so I hope but I still have the stock seat.

I down graded my 1998 Sportster to a Bare Bones LT over the Silhouette I had it it.

For now at 53 I am still gonnin for looks and thinking I can still keep up.

I have the Silhouette seat and it stays on the bike at least 90% of the time...for longer rides I use the stock '09 seat and can ride all day with no issues at all.

BTW, I'm short, at 5' 6 1/2" w/a 29" inseam and the Silhouette is great for riding with mid controls.

You'll be fine @ 5'11. I adjusted the mini apes back towards me which in turn hurt my wrists. RSD Vintage bars have a pretty nasty angle if you bring them too far back. Also, compared to the origianl bare bones, I have heard there is a bit of lip on the back of the sillouette which keeps you in the seat better.

I like mine. Feels just right and the narrow feel sits you down lower. Here's a pic of mine next to the stocker for comparison.
