I am going to be ordering a PC V from Jamie at FuelMoto within the week! My buddy said that after I get it, I have to get it Dyno'd. Is this fact? I have read in a few other posts that Jamie and the guys at Fuel Moto pretty much get it spot on! Let me know! Dyno's around here are like 500 bucks!
As long as they have the correct info then the Maps they use should be good enough. I just got one for my V-Rod and it was night and day difference .
Now I'm sure as every Bike has a small bit of difference it might be tuned in a bit better if Dyno'd but I don't see why that's needed as of right now.
If you have a stage one and the have a MAP pretty close to your set up you'll be OK, save your money. Besides, you could buy the autotune for te PCV for alot less than 500 bucks, so that might be an option.
I'm running a PC-V I purchased from FuelMoto. I've had it on the dyno and the canned tune they provided for my upgrades was great...For a canned tune I was impressed. When I upgrade my engine soon I will then get it dyno tuned.
I added SE slipons and Fuel Moto stage one and Jamie set up the PCV. What a difference! About a month later had it dyno'd gained 5 hp, 5 lb torque and about 3 mpg.
Good tuner should pick up some hp and torque over a canned map. Thing is you don't really need it tuned. like your car, not tuned to maximize it's potential, yet still works fine and you would not know any better.
