Finally got the Crossbones a/c filter matching the primary - HD texture paint with a very light mist of metallic silver then clear coat. I'll let it cure for a week or so then put a coat of wax on top. Liked the looks of these teardrop tool boxes so I got one. Trying to decide if I should paint it black like the a/c or leave the chrome for a splash of bright.
best thing to do with that tool bag... replace it with a leather tool bag and install leather one down on the frame by the front motor mount.... super creative on the paint matching...
I wonder what the tool box would look like if it were rotated @ 90* so the top was runnin' even with the battery band?
Might look good. With the design of the box everything would fall out when you opened it up. I wonder if you could get a left side box (don't make them for Dynas but have them for STs) and flip it around to solve that?
At nearly 2 am that's too many variables for my brain to compute but I'll think on it! Thanks
Yes, paint the toolbox to match. Kind of stands out like a sore thumb. Other than that, looks good.
Thanks for the input. Having a tough time deciding, not the least of which is the angst about taking steel wool to a brand new chrome piece.
I think I'm going to try to find something black that I can stick onto the tool bag to see what it looks like. Contact paper, shelf liner...something like that. Just to get a sense before I take the plunge.
The filter looks great! The tool box does stand out. Painting it would help i think. I would see if some one could match the batt box and keep only some of it chrome. it might look better if it tied into the lines. but all in all looks great.
