My weld came apart too. Brought it to a local guy, he welded it back up much better and then hit it with epoxy black. Gave it back to me and when I asked how much he said don't worry about it! Yup no charge! So might just want to take to someplace that welds and have it done. I'm sure someone might do it for free like the shop I took it to, of charge like 20 bucks or something. Cool part about him doing it free, I never been to the shop before so I was not even a customer of theirs. It took like 10 minutes for him to sand, clean, weld, and then he grabbed some rustoleum gloss black epoxy and sprayed the sanded areas up to match. It was a custom bike shop I went to.

Wow, that was a good deal for you.

I do fab work so I can fix it myself pretty easy. Just might do that today since it is sunny and I can't ride.

you got lucky too... mine snapped when I was riding and I rode the bike home that way for 45 minutes. lucky me it did grab enough that I had about an inch of play before I shifted up/down.

Wow, yeah I was thinking that when it happened in the garage, I was just getting home from work so it could have happened then.

yeah thank god...of all the things that could break, you would never think of this as being one of them.
Anyways I owe these guys at K&K custom cycles. I rode today till I got home on fumes. Well I am painting my bike and just now uninstalled the rear tail light and licence plate...lookin at the bike without the light and plate, I think I am gonna bring em my rear fender and have them smooth it out for me. So ,as I have felt it is important to me to pay em back for their good deed...I finally have a way to!
