This is AS low as the shift levers can be set and still clear the floorboard, shifting is much more comfortable. Toe stompin' and heel hammerin' way smoother/quicker when excess free play is eliminated (shift rod). Photo is in neutral.

I replaced my shifter rod and took my time to adjust it. I've found that Iam using the heel shifter to bang gears now Must be old age and a reason to buy an air shifter[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Is your toe lever high enough to get your toe under to upshift? If you have a problem away from home with the heel shifter (I have) it will save a roadside repair.

Now we are getting into Shifter Attack Angles....Not one bike made for one person. Modify, modify, modify....If you have plenty of dough...no problem. If you don't, stay with what you have...you will get used to it.
