Default Sissy Bar ??? Not the usual????

Just wanted to know if anybody had tried to use the following sissy bar for HD (HD part # 51161-10) One-Piece Detachable Passenger Sissy Bar Upright. The HD site says it only fits "10" Wide Glides and Fat Bobs. I checked w/ my local dealer and they said they think the mounts are different, but did not hav eone in stock for me to try to mount it. Any info would be appreciated.

The mounting poins are going to be wider since the struts on the 2010 WG and FB are wider than the other Dynas.

Thats not to say you couldnt make it work but it would probally take some bending to make it fit.

one could probably just pick up longer strut bolts and some washers to gain the needed width to make that bar work.

I have this sissy bar on my 2010 Fat Bob. I have the docking hardware and just measured the width of the bar at the inside where it mounts on the dock. The distance is 11-1/2 at the rear and 12-1/4 at the front. Don't know what the width of the Street Bobs are or how close they are to these numbers but this may help.

Anyone have there measurements for the Street Bob sissy bars widths. Also need the measurment from the front to back mount area for the disconnect uprights.

2010 Fat Bob - distance between the disconnect mounts is awfully close to 10-3/8".

I'd like to know the outcome on this as well. I need a sissy bar to throw on when I travel so that I can strap my backpack, sleeping bag, and tent to. I won't use it any other time but I need some mounting points for travel.
