Got the West Coasties mounted up on Monday and while I ordered 14's I measured them today and well they are 15" from the bottom of the bar to the center of the drag bar just in case anyone is cutting it close...........now on to the Ness.
After reading lots of posts about how to mount these things I took the camera out to the garage and snapped a few pix while I screwed around with it.
I mounted it using some cheap $25 sig relocation mounts from realhog dot or someplace like that. Raised the headlamp 1" using a 1/2 thread coupler and a 1" longer grade 8 bolt. Topped it off with some nice chrome washers and Chrome 5/16ths button head allen bolts to finish it off. Painted the inside of the bubble gloss black to finish it off until I can find a painter who I think can pull off what I'm thinking about for a color match to the tins.
In an ealier thead I was asked to post up a side shot of the bike to get an idea of the riding position so I had my kids come out and play photog for a moment
Lookin damn good bud...sure is a difference between your flat bar compared to my v-bar set up (welded turned down a bit) with 14in risers. With my v-bars & me sittin on it, my hands are about shoulder height. Lookin forward to see what your paint guy comes up with! Looks killer!
