Going on the Premise that the "HD Snap-on Tool Kit" is way overpriced. What do you guys take with you and recommend having in a Road Toolkit. Thanks in advance,
Was wondering the same thing. I found a small crescent wrench that I bought, I am going to check all the allens I might need, spark plug wrench, zip ties, electrical tape, I also bought a small ratchet 3/8" and 1/2" , have to check which sockets to keep in tool bag. Then a screwdriver with different bits to attach.
The right way to build a road tool kit is to set aside every tool you use during routine maintenance and repair of your bike. That's the stuff you need in case you break down on the road.

Please define Twinkie riders.
I dont carry any tools. The only time i "Broke Down" was when I ran out of gas and had to push a few blocks to the gas station. I guess I should think about getting a few together since im a HOG member. LOL
To set the context, we're not the same as Shovel riders, Pan riders, Knuckle riders, metric riders, crotch rocket riders, scooter riders, and bicycle riders.
No tools for this guy either, call me under prepaired or a wishful thinker, but I ride the newest bikes I can afford to, to keep breakdowns to a minimum.

Hope that helps.
Oh I thought that was a slam agaisnt those who are members of HOG. Sorry took it the wrong way.
I have a gerber multi-tool, hex wrench set, phillips screwdriver, mag light, electrical tape, and wire ties all in the toolbag mounted to the front of the frame.
I bought the harley toolkit thats in the catalog. nice tools, good quality and seems like about everything i would need. as the bikes get newer our tool needs get less. everything will be ecm ran and all we will be able to do i haul it back to the dealer. in the meantime i like the feeling of having some tools with me.
