I bought the HD brand battery from a dealer back in 2011, paid $140 + tax, came with a 6 month warranty. Junk at 14 months, wouldn't hold a charge overnight.

That's what I did this spring(march 2013), used the coupon code to purchase online and picked it up at the Advance down the road. was around $65 after getting the core charge back. Comes with a 1 year warranty.
If I'm going to buy disposable batteries at least I'm only paying half price.
For me the price was not the issue, it was the relability. Nothing worse than being out on a long ride and finding a dead battery, which happened to me on my '12 FXDF about 9 months after I bought it! Jump started it, put on a charger and damn if it didn't happen again. Left a trickle charger on it and had the charging system checked and turned out to be a dead cell in the OEM HD battery. Went to the local Battrytown and laid out $240 on a Shorai battery. Lithium Iron, Weighs 1/5th of the HD battery and they back the hell out of it. Advertising is a 2 year direct factory warranty. Had an issue with the first one by not following the instructions, clearly my fault. Sent the battery to them, next day recieved an email before noon telling me they tested it, discovered the problem. By end of the day they had sent me 3 more progress emails. Next day recieved and email notifying me they was replacing it with an upgraded model N/C. It showed up the next morning.
Great product, great customer service, nice folks, super pleased.
