Picked up my '10 Wide Glide! Now there is a problem?
Here is the only pic I have of it so far, right before I left the dealer (check sig for mods done by dealer):
It rides f'n great. HOWEVER, I think they did not adjust my clutch properly. When you are coming off the gas at all or trying to just cruise in a high gear, you get a huge vibration through the whole bike! Ad a bit of throttle and it smoothes out. My buddy thinks the clutch was not checked when they took it out of the box.
Also, I had the dealer show me how to pull off the rear seat pad before I left. The only bad thing is under the pad is 4 2x2" foam pads adhesived to the fender, not the seat pad......why would they do that?
The next few days are supposed to be rainy and cold. I'll get the reflectors off, pull off those stupid foam pads from under the rear seat pad, and see if I can't get a buddy of mine who is a Harley mechanic to adjust the clutch for me......
Oh, I also ordered a set of new mirrors for it.....Grim Reapers from Demon Cycles. A freind of mine has them on his bike and swears by thier quality. I figured for the price I could at least try them. Here's a link:
The problem you describe has nothing to do with the clutch. Those pads stop the pillion from scratching the fender, I'm guessing that you plan to stick them to the bottom of the pillion.

Awesome! My local dealer says the new wide glide is becoming the "bike to have" this year. They can't keep them in stock! They put the pads on the fender to stop the seat from rubbing the fender, if it was the other way around the seat would still shift around causing it to rub.
