Mine is out right now and it's been cleaned up and will go back in. It's probably the original 96'.
I did clean it and even ran the bike with it but to be honest I'd feel better about replacing it.

So....

I just spoke with Beach House H-D. I just lost faith in them.

They won't ship me the correct p/n until I return the incorrect part.

I explained that I wouldn't be in this mess if Jimbo (the parts guy) had sent me the right one to begin with. Plus instead of being charged $17+shipping...I was charged $47+shipping. (Glad I don't own a 00-06 softail lol)

The girl said she'd get in trouble if she sent me the correct part without having the incorrect one back in hand.

Plus I need to initially pay for shipping back to them but she said they would credit the shipping I paid.

I said "this is not good customer service. I just want what I ordered and you're making this very difficult. Beach House H-D is making me feel like this is my fault when in fact it's Beach House H-D's fault." She agreed but said that is the policy.

Next time I'm in that area I'm going to drop a deuce on the front steps of the place.
