petcock unistall problem
I Want to install the vacuum petcock from my old tank to my new tank.
When I take it off there is an inner filter with a yellow tube inside. Tried to pull it out, try to turn it but it won't come out
How can I get this out? Or do I have to buy a new one. After several years in a tank with gas may be the plastic got bigger and it won't get out anymore.

The filter should be attached to the petcock, simple friction fit. Are you saying yours is stuck in the tank itself? And the yellow tube stays with the filter - whole thing comes as a unit.
BTW, I'd replace it in any event. Can't remember the price but dealership was less than $20 when we swapped tanks on Cathy's bike a couple of weeks ago. Could have been $13.95 or something.

Thank you.
Problem already solved. Gave it a hard pull and it came in on piece out.
Already have it installed in my new tank. Tank installed on the frame, connected all hoses put in some gas, and yes the bike runs.
Hopefully have some nice weather tomorrow so I can check my rebuild.
Lot of rain at this moment
