This is why I have chosen to leave my motor stock, with my propensity to twist the wick, it would not be a good combination to have any more power.
The other day I tested my new Dakota Digital gauge, it has a 0-60 and 1/4 mile function, my 0-60 was 4.6 seconds have not tested the 1/4 mile yet. I am thinking 4.6 is plenty quick for an old guy....
I grew up racing, dirt bikes, drag cars, anything for a thrill. Now that I am 50, and surprised to be alive, I just use my bike as mid life crisis treatment and enjoy.
I still ride hard and fast, just much smarter than I use to.
Fortunately one of my new ride partners doesn't feel the need like I do, so I actually enjoy letting him lead most of the time.
Glad you saw the light before it was extinguished, ride safe all....
That is the honest truth, no doubt. What is the blue paint code in your sig?
Couldn't tell you the code. Attitudecustompainting.com in Tampa did it. It is a dark candy blue base with candy ghost flames. The reference number on the site is 1081.
Glad you're unhurt and the bike unscathed.
Reinforced my Fat Bob decision.....
2 discs up front for some real braking power on a FAT contact patch,
heavy duty engine mods.....for quick (cruiser quick) acceleration to get a "stupid moment" over with quicker.
I find it really hard to stay out of the throttle the first couple of rides of the year. I need a stretch of rode to open it up. Then I'm ready to remember all those safe riding rules for traffic and blind driveways. It tough not being young and dumb, even at 50.
Man I'm glad you're OK. I don't do much crazy stuff but I have one weakness: I have a REALLY hard time staying behind someone going under the speed limit. I guess 51 years hasn't matured me enough or something. I have yet to be able to resist roaring around the putz.
I can't stand it; at least go the speed limit or park the *%#^ thing!
