We ended up side by side at a red light and decided to once again test the Dyna vs Softail drag race debate.
Scary stuff but I'm glad to hear you made it and showed your friend that Dyna's are faster!
100mph on Ocean Ave is scary stuff, even without the vans there are always a lot of cops down there not to mention dare devil pedestrians! Stay safe and maybe I'll run into one of these days.
I'm glad your ok...............but I think you should enjoy the fact that what you did is your own experience. Cause if this post is you telling me how to ride then this is me telling you to stuff it.
Not flaming you hard its just that I already have a mom and a wife........dont need anyone else telling me how to ride.
MS
I would never tell anyone else how to ride. What you do an how you do it is all up to you. I just wanted to post this incident because it had a big impact on me and I hoped that by sharing it, maybe I could save someone else from doing something as stupid.
Alot of you have been riding longer than me, I'm sure, but Ive never had a "****...Im dead" incident until yesterday......but like I said...it was all my doing...so Im gonna go stuff it
Thanks for taking the time to read this, everyone.
This forum gave me a way to kinda work out the demons from yesterday.
Something weird that I left out of the original post.....immediately after the near miss, I remember laughing(not because anything was funny)....I could not stop.....most likely due to the fact that I was still alive. It was a strange reaction for me.
If this thread makes you think a little while yer out on the scoot...then I'll take that.
upgrading the motor on your bike to make it more powerful has absolutely f*ck all to do with riding dangerously/poorly.
where in the OP's admission of guilt does it say his motor was built up? I stated that I'll bet many will still go out and increase their horsepower, I don't know, nor do I care that he has a non-stock motor and I appreciate what he conveyed to us here on the forums.
i'll bet you haven't made one performance-minded upgrade to your bike since bringing it home. I haven't. Why, it's gets up to speed quicker than I can imagine?
figure out which end is your *** and which is your mouth and speak out of the right one.
