Default Progressive drop-ins and speed bumps?

Those of you with the front drop ins how is it going over speed bumps?

I have the 11'' rear shocks and I don't have any issues. I want to lower the front but I don't want to have any problems getting over things. Any feedback would be helpful.

I lowered my front by sliding the fork tubes up the trees 1"... the rear is lowered with drop blocks.

I have 'bottomed out' over some speed bumps, but not all. The oil pan protector 'fin' on the bottom of the frame did it's job.

Two days ago I changed the fork oil, at 27,500 miles, to the heavy duty SE fork oil and the rear shocks are pre-loaded on the #2 setting. The suspension is 'balanced' very nicely... the entire bike 'moves up & down' over the bumps in the road... as apposed to 'rocking' front to back.

I guess it's hard to explain... but, man... it rides great!

Oh, one other thing... the stock springs on my 08 Fat Bob are progressively wound.
The SE oil was all it really needed... 4 bottles at @ $5 each.

I have the similar and lowered the front to be on level with the rear. The speed bumps at my condo complex are high and I have to be slow going over, or stand up on the mid pegs. Definitely you will scrape. Just be more careful.

Hmmm...I might have rethink the fork springs or do a little more research around where I ride.

Slide the fork tubes... = $0 and can be easily reversed.

Lowering your bike is going to make it more susceptible to bottoming out on things, such as speed bumps. Kind of like eating beans makes you fart. Just par for the course.

I have to agree with the last comment.... if you eat beans you fart, if you lower your car you will bottom out. But I think that you already knew that, now you are just testing the waters on how bad it does that.

GOod luck and post the outcome!!
